ENROLMENT
Entry into Chisipite Junior School is determined by established criteria. From Grade 1, readiness testing is carried out by the school. Applications are accepted from birth, and preference may be given to:
A - Siblings of current or past pupils if their family is in good financial standing with the school
B - Daughters of Old Girls of the Junior School. This does not include aunts or cousins.
C - Date of application
Registration forms can be filled in at the office or downloaded below and then physically handed in to the School Secretary together with sight of the ORIGINAL birth certificate plus two copies for our records. A small registration is charged, contact the office for the current fee. Please retain your receipt. We recommend you do not wait to register your daughter as the waiting list fills up very quickly.
ACCEPTANCE OF THE APPLICATION FORM IN NO WAY DENOTES THE OFFER OF A PLACE. |

Your application is then added to the waiting list for the relevant year of entry. If your details should change, please inform the secretary as soon as possible so your records are kept up to date. In approximately April, the year before starting ECD (Early Childhood Development) or Grade 1 parents will be informed if their daughter has been accepted. Before accepting the offer, parents should familiarise themselves with the fee structure, and should also satisfy themselves that their daughter is ready for school and able to cope in a formal class situation. If you think your daughter should be held back a year for any reason, this would require a letter of support from an Educational Psychologist.
An Acceptance Fee which is not-refundabale is then required by a date stipulated in the Acceptance of Entry letter attached to the form that needs to be signed by the parent and counter signed by the Headteacher
Should your daughter not get a place at Grade 1 level her application will automatically go into Grade 2 for the following year and so on. You DO NOT need to re-register.
TUITION FEES
As per the contract with the school that is signed by the parent/guardian on the Acceptance of Entry, full fees for any term, including the first term, are due to the school on the first day of that term, unless notice in writing of withdrawal has been given by the parent/guardian to the Headteacher by not later that noon of the first day of the previous term. The Headteacher or Acting Head shall have the right to suspend or exclude the child if, following a reminder, monies due are not paid in full forthwith. No relaxation, extension of time or indulgence which the school may grant shall in any way constitute a waiver of the school’s future right in this regard.
Fees for the coming term are invoiced and sent out by email and by hand, care of your daughter, and in some cases post, a week or so before the end of each term. Should you not have received your invoice at least 2 weeks before the start of the coming term, please contact the Bursar’s Office.
